PANTALLA PINAMAR 2011
Seventh Argentine – European Film Encounter
March 5th thru 12th
A DATE WITH FILMS, NATURE AND TOMORROW…
First it was a cherished dream. Later, a stimulating reality. And now, after six editions of absolute success, “Pantalla Pinamar” is, for many people, a date as mandatory as awaited, equally necessary and enjoyable, amidst the overwhelming world agenda of events having the film industry as its substance.
The issue is that, apart from coinciding in numerous international festivals, exhibitions and markets of different characteristics, the Argentine and the European film industries needed —as well as deserved— to have a place and date for meeting “alone.” Their own geography and time for exhibiting —to others and to themselves— their last productions, for revealing new course of themes or production, for debating on future collaboration models, for talking calmly and deeply about solidarity actions and alliances throwing light over tomorrow. The place is Pinamar, one of the most beautiful and prestigious beaches on the Argentine South Atlantic coast. The date is the month of March, when southern summer is still at its height.
An audience always bigger, as well as qualified and loyal. A specialized press representing the most important media from Argentina, the Southern Cone and Europe. Outstanding representatives from the institutional and cultural life of the region as special guests. A great number of directors, producers, actors, authorities and professionals from the participating film industries presenting their works and projects. They all make up the grand total of protagonists, witnesses and beneficiaries of each edition of “Pantalla Pinamar.”
We want to welcome you again or for the first time.
The next date, the seventh: March 5th thru 12th, 2011.
